Scavenger Hunt: Texty

I love type!  I think it is apparent in what I make , but I wanted to show you a few things I discovered this week with some great type and also show the way some designers are using it. We are bombarded by the written word everyday from ads to general products that sometimes it is hard to really appreciate how beautiful it can really be.

Where are they now: Napkin Rings

Some clients are a dream like Elizabeth Schuppe. Not only is she a talented artist, but she gave me the design challenge to come up with images for her guest rings. First I suggested +1 but with 3 separate guest rings it would be too confusing. In the end we did a nature theme. I like them very much and so does her husband who took this beautiful shot with what he calls the Martha Stewart Lens. LOL!

Here is my original photo of the number rings that gave Elizabeth the inspiration for her custom order.

Scavenger Hunt: Cozy Home

This week’s post is all about decorating your home. As winter approaches I start to think about staying at home, warm soups, and how to make my home as cozy as possible. I love collecting vintage furniture and adding to my already enormous collection of great flea market finds. I think it might be time to head to Brooklyn Flea or rent a car to go outside the city maybe for some apple picking and also to see what else I can find!!
