2 random facts

1. I saw Obama drive up 6th Ave in his motorcade yesterday.
2. The new Spock went to college with me.

Both of them have fan sites.

Vote!!!

Hi guys! I'm trying something new. I can't decide which photo I like best. Normally I'm a little more sparse with my scenes. Since I'm out of my comfort zone, I thought I ask you all for some honest feedback. Vote for your favorite or post a comment if you think all are too cute or over done. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks!

Girls & Lace

On a bit of a tangent but having too much fun to stop. I wish I knew more about the creator of these. I discovered her flickr account while browsing the organized collection group. Always something great just a click away.

Just in:
Sheepdeer is living in Moscow and looking for design work after studying graphic design for 6 years. She says the lace work is just a hobby but WOW it is stunning. If you know anyone looking for a talented young 23 year old. She is available but not for long I'm sure.

Everything is going to be OK

I'm so in love with this fun blog of creative type called WE MAKE WORDS. Warning you will be sucked in for hours. Yes it is *that* good. Only look if you have free time to spare!!!

Hot on the bug trend with Trouble and Trifle

I was thrilled to be approached by Ms. Trouble to make 100 bug screened doilies for her wedding. After learning of my love for bugs, she was kind enough to share photos from the amazing 23rd annual Bug Fair at L.A's National History museum. Thanks for the inspiration! Here are a few photos. Many more on her fun blog Trouble and Trifle.

Brooklyn Design

A special thank you to Kelly Berman of the fab blog The Brooklynist for her post on the ICFF/A&G Merch store/gallery party.

Check out this amazing box cart by Joel Voissard. Many more photos on her blog...not to mention a few BROOKLYNrehab stall pictures. I'll spare you from posting them here again ;)

Crush: Catherine & Hans

Is it possible for a single straight girl to have a crush on a married couple? That is what it feels like. When you see the handmade invitations and wedding decorations lovingly made by the groom (yes I said groom), you will feel it too. From the iDIY blog posted on Creature Comforts.

Of course I just love the piano player roll. Such a great idea. Too bad I already sold mine!

Where are they now: Antlers

A very special Where Are They Now expose'. This time we get to look at the home of Alison. Most of you know her as TeenAngster of Etsy fame. Her blogosphere reports are the best on the web. Usually she plays the role of curator with photos and images but today we get to see how she styles her own home. Of course I have a soft spot for the antlers she bought from me but I really love her bed and especially the pillow from Nightwood.

A-HA!

Doesn't matter how much space I have, eventually I will out grow it. I keep collecting and making...making and collecting until there is no room for people. I often joke about sneaking a shed into the backyard to store more stuff but the landlord would disapprove I'm sure. Apparently I'm not the only one with that idea. Apartment Therapy did a whole post on the shed-come-studio. Here are my favs...

Looking for a Gnome?

Some of my sold out ceramic pieces, a few of my favorites necklaces and a pigeon feather or 2 are on "loan" to the fab store BROOKLYN Treehouse. Go buy them before they are gone. I am thinking about giving up the ceramic portion as mysterious things sometimes happen in the kiln ruining my work and wasting countless hours of my time. The nice thing about a communal kiln is that it keeps the prices down but the sad part is not being able to stop unfortunate accidents like dark spots and blue streaks. Next time you see a handmade artist, give them a hug. They probably need it!

Where are they now? Porcelain Branch

Oh lucky me to see my branch on SF Girl By Bay's blog. I love seeing how she incorporated it into her lovely home. I especially like her mantel and little wooden flea market finds.

Wander Lust

I wish I could go to Chicago this weekend to check out this stunning Asrai Garden. If you have been, tell me and make me jealous!

BROOKLYNrehab Goes Brick and Mortar

It is finally happening. My little BROOKLYNrehab booth is set-up at A&G Merch here in BROOKLYN. They asked me to be part of their local artist section. I'll be there for the next 3 months. Many items are available there only so get there if you can :)

Special thank you to Jane, Christina and Shannon for helping me problem solve and to Stickman and Old Crow Farm for selling just what I needed!

Shout Out to Ladies and Gentlemen

Being featured seller was so amazing in so many ways but the best part was "meeting" a lot of my etsy heros. Jean of Ladies and Gentlemen was kind enough to buy my custom egg cups. Look how cute they look as "Ladies" and "Gentlemen." I threw in a little instant collection of white items just to say thank you! Here are her photos as posted on the Ladies and Gentlemen blog.
