Design to Go!

Scenes from the new pop-up design store at the Port Authority. Kiel Mead and AREAWARE curated the show and I was lucky to have some BROOKLYNrehab items included. I have to admit Kiel and his brother are nice to look at and their mother was there helping to process transactions...pretty darn cute.

Coming Soon

Finally a new product for my etsy store. Just in time for the "Back to School" market over at Poppytalk. I was inspired by tree carving. It is a wonderful primitive artform that I guess is really not good to do for the environment. If you find any nice examples, please post the link in my comments. Have a lovely rest of the weekend!

I Crave: Reclaimed Crate Birdhouses

The High Line

I finally went to the High Line yesterday. I just love the views and the amazing design details. Dillier and Scofidio did an amazing job. I couldn't help but notice something black and white jumping out amongst the mosaic of colors and textures that are the backdrop of the city. It was a billboard looking for a paid advertiser. I thought wouldn't it be nice to have art there rather than a silly ad. I nominate Barbara Kruger.
