I'm super excited to announce 2 things. I got 2nd place for housewares in the juried part of the
Poppy awards created by Poppytalk. I also got
3rd place in the people's choice for ceramics. Hooray! This is especially good news because I am leaving my full time fashion job to focus on
BROOKLYNrehab. I am excited and scared but the good news is that I will have more time to create new things and post more about myself here. For now here is some moldy old stuff until I get over my camera shyness.
I also wanted to personally thank Jan of Poppytalk for accepting me into her
handmade market nearly 2 years ago. She took a chance on me and I am forever grateful for the confidence it gave me to take it this far. OXO. I recommend the market and you'll see me there again soon.
I don't know what I'm most excited about for you, your success in the Poppies or the fact that you finally leaving your job. Yay for you!!!

ReplyDeleteok you all need to pretend i never posted this if i end up failing and a year from now and work at starbucks. actually starbucks gives health insurance to 30hr a week parttimers so maybe that is not such a bad idea. more on that later as i try to get courage to post some personal stuff.
Working from your couch is where it's at! Oddly enough though, I still technically have a day job. A NY day job! Which I took with me when I moved...but to my couch in CA. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd no, 2nd place is NOT last it's very very close to 1st! Keep up the fabulous work!
